Round 1
Alex had a good day at the first meeting and although he missed the first F400 race due to an unfortunate accident (he dropped the bike bump starting it...oooops) the rest of the day went well.
he was the first 400 home in both lightweight races being 5th overall on the road twice.
Lightweight: 5th in both races
F400 : DNS and 3rd
Antony started his season well with a 1st and a second place in the combined 400/650 class and a 4th and a 5th in the sound of thunder class.
Well done to both.
Round 2
Alex continued his progress by improving his lap times and getting a 4th in the first race but slipping to 5th for the second in the F400 class.
He gained a 5th and a 6th places in the lightweights
This makes him 4th overall in the F400 championship and 5th in the lightweights; his consistency being rewarded.
Antony gained two third place's in the F400/F650 class and a 4th and a 7th in the Sound of Thunder class

Round 3
Alex continued his improvement once again, even if not in places in time, and was actually pushing Antony for a place until he got overexcited and made a mess of ParK Corner in the 400 race. He very nearly dipped into the 1:03 second lap bracket just missing out by three hundredths of a second. This is extremely good considering he was faster than bikes with 10 bhp advantage (not an idle estimate) though at least one rider was suffering with his injuries sustained at a previous round. Given his disadvantage we are looking forward to having the bike performing better for the next round by 5bhp with the addition of a decent ignition system and are building another engine as well. He continues to feature in the top five of both classes. Well done!
Antony seems to have reached his plateau but continues to best Alex by small margins in the class they share. He is consistent in his results in both classes he contests and is causing some chatter by the slower 400 riders who are questioning the advantage in cubic capacity (shades of BSB). TBH its not his fault and he just races for the love of it. Keep it up Antony.
Bring it on for the next round.
